Blurring the line between theatre and multimedia installation, A Casual Reconstruction is a documented dinner conversation I had with friends about the effects of Canada’s assimilationist policy and our feelings of belonging as mixed race Aboriginal people. The 2 hour conversation was edited to 30 minutes and re-staged by non-aboriginals as they read the text for the opening performance.
